Dragons are delighted to announce that full back Jordan Williams has committed his future to the Men of Gwent.
Williams, 28, joined the region from Bristol Bears in 2018 and made his 50th appearance for the region in the recent EPCR Challenge Cup fixture against Gloucester.
An elusive runner and incredible attacking threat, Williams – who has 13 tries for the region – has now signed extended terms to continue his stay at Rodney Parade.
Dean Ryan, Director of Dragons Rugby, said: “Jordan brings real threat in open field for us and is an important player as we look to build and move forward.
“It’s been a mixed year for him in terms of injury, but we want him back playing regular rugby, so we’re delighted he has re-signed with us.
“Our challenge is to increase depth and Jordan is crucial to that, ensuring he keeps pushing on and raising his levels.
“Jordan can get even better and we’re excited that he will do that as a Dragon in the coming seasons.”
Swansea-born Jordan Williams began his rugby career with New Docks Stars RFC before joining the Scarlets Academy aged 15. He made his first appearance for Llanelli RFC in 2010.
In January 2011 he made his first regional appearance for Scarlets and went on to make over 50 appearances. Williams moved to Bristol Bears in 2016 before a return to Wales and Dragons.
Williams said: “I’m really pleased to extend my stay at Dragons, after enjoying the last four seasons with the region.
“It’s been a frustrating season at times for me due to injury, but I’m now looking forward to finishing this campaign strongly and taking that momentum into next year.”
