Dragons Academy wing Oli Andrew grabbed a second half try but it was a disappointing opening night for Wales Under 20s as they started their Six Nations campaign with a 53-5 defeat to Ireland.
Young Dragons Ben Moa, Joe Peard and Morgan Lloyd also featured in the Six Nations opener in Cork.
Byron Hayward’s side conceded eight tries in total as they were exposed by a ruthless home side.
It took Wales 75 minutes to get on the scoreboard with a tremendous pass from Lloyd putting Andrew into space with the winger showing his strength to brush off three tacklers to score.
But any reprieve was short lived as Ben Brownlee forced his way over for Ireland’s eight try which took the hosts past half a century of points.
