Dragons Academy U18s produced a dominant second half display to defeat English rivals Bristol Bears 38-12, scoring six tries in wet and windy conditions at North Bristol RFC on Saturday morning.
Wing Will Rees scored a first half brace for the future Dragons, while Bristol responded with two tries of their own to keep the game tight heading into the break.
But the men of Gwent upped the temp in the second half and tries from Tom Horan, Ioan Duggan, Aidan Boshoff and Gethyn Cannon sealed a brilliant away victory for the visitors.
The game was good preparation for the U18s as they head into the Regional Age Grade Championship later this month.
The Dragons welcome Ospreys to the Centre of Excellence in Ystrad Mynach in round one before taking on RGC, Scarlets and Cardiff Rugby.
