New prop signing Nathan Evans grabbed a first half try as Wales Under-20s booked a place in the final of the Under-20 Six Nations Summer Series in Italy.
Evans – this week confirmed as a new member of the Senior Academy at Dragons RFC – crashed over in the first period of a tight encounter at Stadio Monigo in Treviso.
A late long-range penalty from Joe Hawkins ultimately Wales U20s into the showpiece final next Wednesday where they will face a formidable South Africa U20s side.
Oli Andrew, Morgan Lloyd, Ryan Woodman and Evans all started the game while Joe Westwood was a replacement in the second half.
Congratulations to all our Dragons and the Welsh squad in Italy on the successful campaign.
