Back row star Taine Basham was a special guest as Dragons Wheelchair Rugby proudly hosted a first-ever tournament over the weekend.
The Wales ace was a keen spectator – who later even tried his hand at wheelchair rugby – as teams from Bristol Bears Wheelchair Rugby, Plymouth (Endeavour Punishers Wheelchair Rugby) and Ospreys Wheelchair team competed at Pontypool Active Living Centre.
It was the first home tournament for the Gwent club who played for games and won two in a competition that was eventually won by the Ospreys team.
Dragons Wheelchair Rugby – supported by principle partner HH Foundation - are now looking forward to the new season and next development fixture in Bristol in July.
