Seven Dragons from the Academy system featured as Wales Under-18s lost 36-20 to England Under-20s in a friendly fixture at Taunton RFC on Sunday.
The players went into the match keen to secure selection in the Six Nations squad which will play England, France and Ireland next month in Marcoussis.
Harri Ackerman captained the side while wing Walker Price, fly half Sam Berry, lock Nick Thomas and back row Connor Lewis all started. Prop Connal Couch and full back Huw Anderson were among the replacements.
Two tries from Louie Hennessey and Lewis March, plus eight points from Dragons fly half Sam Berry and a conversion from Harri Wilde, were not enough as England took the victory.
