Hooker Elliot Dee and centre Jack Dixon return to the starting line-up as Dragons face Cardiff Rugby in a United Rugby Championship derby at Rodney Parade on Friday evening (kick-off 7.35pm).
Wales international Dee and midfielder Dixon are part of three changes made by boss Dean Ryan for the penultimate game of the season in Newport.
The final change to the starting line-up is a call-up for combative back row forward Ben Fry – who this week signed a new contract at Dragons.
Prop Lloyd Fairbrother makes a welcome return among the replacements and is set for his first appearance since May 2021. Fellow front row Greg Bateman also returns on the bench.
Ryan said: “Getting bodies on the field has probably been the priority, so we’ve had a pretty light week.
“We’ve talked a lot about collective responsibility to get control of our discipline. It’s an ongoing focus but very much in the spotlight this week.
“It’s great to have Elliot back. He comes in with a lot of energy and is keen to drive the team forward.
"I thought Josh Lewis did a really good job last weekend, but we are looking forward to seeing Will (Reed) and Jack (Dixon) operate together. It’s a combination that can give us width and directness at the same time.
"Jack has been in outstanding form and it is down to Wayne to decide (about Wales), but he needs to put his hand up again this week and force himself into that discussion."
