Transform your life with a new School of Hard Knocks (SOHK) course running at Rodney Parade from May until July.
SOHK delivers life-changing programmes across the UK - and now a new eight-week adult course is coming to Newport for anyone wanting to get into employment, training or education, or for individuals looking for support with their wellbeing.
Gareth Sullivan Head of Inclusion at Dragons Rugby said: “Having recently worked alongside the team at SOHK in Prescoed Prison and seeing first-hand the amazing benefits to all that engage, we were extremely keen to host a course at Rodney Parade.
“Dragons Community work with serval different demographics through our provisions and we hope that several members of our #DragonsFamily will take the opportunity to join the programme and benefit from the positive outcomes SOHK offer.
“This is yet another important and worthwhile partnership for our community and something we are keen to grow.”
SOHK will help you to set goals, define your values and map your pathway to success – whatever success looks like to you!
The SOHK uses physical activity, group sessions, mentoring, 1:1 support and counselling sessions to do this.
These include:
- Dealing with change and anxiety
- Employability skills
- Building a growth mindset
- Coping strategies
The new course will take place from May 26 to July22 – every Thursday and Friday from 9.45am to 2.30pm – at Rodney Parade. Lunch is also included!
