Dragons RFC are delighted to announce the launch of our esports community, partnering with fan engagement platform Rival.
This exciting new venture will see us to offer a range of online tournaments and experiences to our supporters with a new gaming platform to interact, share and compete.
The ground-breaking partnership with Rival will power the club’s brand-new gaming community, offering tournaments across a variety of top-class game titles. From this, there will be opportunities for fan rewards and other experiences.
Ben Lucey, the Club’s Head of Operations, said: “We are delighted to partner with Rival and become the first professional rugby organisation to join their platform.
“Our move into esports has been months in the making, with extensive work being put in behind the scenes.
“The missing piece was to connect fans and gamers with Dragons RFC by offering them a platform in which they can compete in tournaments run by the Club on the titles they love.
“Rival was the perfect platform for this, and we are thrilled at the partnership and what it has to offer.
“We look forward to connecting our fans and gamers with Dragons RFC over the coming months and years.”
Dragons will leverage Rival’s leading fan engagement platform to facilitate gaming leagues and virtual tournaments. Game titles will include FIFA, Call of Duty: Warzone and Rugby 22.
Rival powers the gaming communities for more than 40 partners worldwide across sports properties, media, tech, and brands.

A first tournament, Call of Duty: Warzone, has already been scheduled which fans can participate in on Thursday 22nd September. A Rugby 22 tournament will then follow in October with prizes to be confirmed for both competitions.
