Seiuli remains a Dragon! Samoa international Aki Seiuli has agreed a new contract to remain at Dragons RFC.
The loosehead prop – who had played 38 times for the Men of Gwent over the last two seasons – becomes the latest player to sign up with Dai Flanagan’s men.
Seiuli is the 15th player to agree new terms ahead of next season and joins the likes of senior stars Ashton Hewitt, Jack Dixon, Ollie Griffiths, Elliot Dee, Joe Davies, Lloyd Fairbrother, Harri Keddie, Jared Rosser and Steff Hughes.
“Aki is an experienced figure in our front row and his commitment to the club is undoubted,” said Dai Flanagan.
“He is a top professional, a great positive character, and someone who wants to help our club develop and to lead by example for the younger players around him.
"Aki is a great clubman, but also as a rugby playing loosehead he reminds me of some of the best in the world. When he is on the ball we always look good," he added.
"He is also one of the most durable props I have ever come across. He has played 38 our of 44 games in two seasons which is unbelievable for a loosehead prop. He is worth his weight in gold in our group."
Seiuli, 30, moved to Rodney Parade in 2021 after two years at Glasgow Warriors.
The hugely popular front row had previously played for Otago and the Highlanders before his move to the Northern Hemisphere in 2019.
He made his Samoa debut in 2022 as his country won the Pacific Nations Cup in Fiji.
“I’m really pleased to sign the new contract and continue my time here at Dragons RFC,” said Seiuli.
“I’m looking forward to the progress we can continue to make under Dai and how our squad can evolve and grow.
“Finally, a huge thank you to the Dragons Family for the support ever since I arrived in Wales.
“It’s always special to play for you and I’m looking forward to getting back out there next season.”
