Congratulations to Dragons RFC scrum half Gonzalo Bertranou who has today been named in the Argentina squad for the upcoming Rugby World Cup in France.
Bertranou – who has scored five tries in 15 games since Michael Cheika took over at Los Pumas – has been rewarded for an impressive twelve months with his national side with the deserved call-up.
The 29-year-old – who has made 28 appearances for the Men of Gwent – is part of a 33-man squad selected by Argentina for the showpiece tournament.
Argentina play one more warm-up fixture against Spain on Saturday, August 26 at Estadio Civitas Metropolitano in Madrid.
Los Pumas open their World Cup account against England (Sat Sep 9) before facing Samoa (Fri Sep 22), Chile (Sat Sep 30) and Japan (Sun Oct 8).
