It’s the opening game of 2024 as we face Scarlets in Round 9 of the BKT United Rugby Championship on New Year’s Day (kick-off 5.15pm) – and ahead of the big day we have your match day guide to all that is happening in and around our home...

Celtic Challenge

The historic Welsh derby opener between Gwalia Lightning and Brython Thunder in the new expanded Celtic Challenge takes place at Rodney Parade on match day (kick-off 2pm). Tickets gain you access to both this game and the Scarlets fixture. For more information on the Celtic Challenge clash click HERE 

Ticketing Information

Tickets for our URC fixture with Scarlets and EPCR Challenge Cup tie with Hollywoodbets Sharks can be purchased by clicking HERE or by calling the Ticket Office for more information on 01633 670690 during office hours.

KLA Community Fan Zone – Pre-match entertainment

The KLA Community Fan Zone opens from 12.30pm on match day, ahead of a 1pm stadium opening for the Celtic Challenge fixture. A Dragons senior player Q&A session will take place here from 4.15pm. We also have Liverpool versus Newcastle on the marquee TVs after the game!

Retail Promotions

In addition to the Dragons RFC Training Range 23/24, both the home, away and European replica kit will be available to purchase in the stadium store from 10am – and the Boxing Day sale remains on NOW!

Cashless Stadium

Please note that all bars inside Rodney Parade are completely cashless. However, the stadium bars will accept all major debit and credit cards.

Stadium Smoking Policy

Rodney Parade is a smoke-free stadium and smoking, or the use of electronic cigarettes is not permitted within the stands. Supporters may smoke and use electronic cigarettes within the designated smoking area – your nearest steward will be able to point you to the nearest smoking area. Supporters are not able to exit and re-enter the stadium for any reasons.

Travel Information

Travelling by Car from the West: Please take Junction 26 from the M4 before taking the 3rd exit off the roundabout onto Malpas Road (A4041). Then proceed through the next 2 sets of traffic lights, keeping to the left-hand lane at the roundabout before taking the second exit off the roundabout. At the next roundabout, take the first exit (across the River Usk) before bearing right onto Chepstow Road. Once on Chepstow Road, take the first right onto Cedar Road followed by the next right onto Corporation Road and the first left onto Grafton Road. Rodney Parade is then situated on the left hand side.

Car Parking

Please note that unfortunately there is no car parking availability at Rodney Parade. For parking please follow directions for the City Centre once you have departed the Motorway. Car parks at both Friars Walk and Kingsway are a short walk across the Millennium River Bridge.

Travelling by Bus

Season Members are reminded they qualify for FREE travel with Newport Transport on match days – just show your membership card. For more information on Newport Bus click HERE

Travelling by Train

Newport Train Station is an approximate 10–15-minute walk to Rodney Parade. For train timetables or any details regarding Transport for Wales please visit the Homepage | TfW. In addition, Transport for Wales have recently launched a new facility to monitor train capacities. This function can be found on the TFW Capacity Checker | TfW.

Travelling by Supporter Coach

Newport Transport facilitate a coach and minibus parking facility, at £35 and £15 respectively. They are situated on 160 Corporation Road, Newport, NP19 0WF; adject to Rodney Parade and therefore an ideal location for visiting supporters.
