Prop Rhodri Jones returns to the starting line-up and hooker Brodie Coghlan is handed a first senior start as Dragons RFC face Glasgow Warriors in the BKT United Rugby Championship on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).
Boss Dai Flanagan makes nine changes to the team for the clash at Rodney Parade.
Jones and Coghlan will pack down with Lloyd Fairbrother up front while there is also a recall for Matthew Screech in the second row.
Sean Lonsdale is named in the back row at openside flanker, with Taine Basham moving to the Number Eight jersey.
A new half back pairing sees Rhodri Williams – who also captains the team – and JJ Hanrahan combine.
Jack Dixon and Sio Tomkinson will join forces in a new-look midfield while the final change is a return for Jared Rosser on the wing.
Hooker James Benjamin, prop Chris Coleman, lock Huw Taylor and fly half Sam Davies return among the replacements.
“Glasgow will have a lot of internationals away this week, but they have such a strong squad they have nearly two international strength 15s,” said Flanagan.
“It will be a tough game with the style of play and the way they look to play.
“They have a brand where they can squeeze you if they need to, but they are also an exciting team and score more tries of kick return than anyone else. We need to make sure our kicking is on point.”
