Wales Women’s U20s ended their North American tour with an impressive and emphatic 39-12 victory over hosts Canada at Twin Elm Rugby Park in Ottawa – with four Dragons Women involved.
Lucy Isaac, Molly Reardon, Chloe Thomas-Bradley and Chelsea Williams were all involved. Molly Wakely was forced to pull out through illness.
Jenna De Vera’s side crossed for six tries and bounced back from their narrow defeat to USA earlier on the tour and produced an aggressive defensive performance their hosts had no answer to.
Wales were 19-5 ahead at half time and could even afford to lose a player to the sin-bin just before the break and were never really troubled by the Canada side playing in front of their home crowd.
This was Wales’ second victory over Canada at U20s level and they fully deserved the win and created and took the chances to score some impressive tries.
