New Dragons RFC signing Dan Lydiate will be back in action next week when he represents the Barbarians.
Lydiate - who will re-join the Men of Gwent this summer - is among a group of eight players named to play against Swansea in John Mulvihill’s squad on Wednesday, May 31.
The flanker is officially joined by Oli Kebble (Scotland), Bradley Davies (Wales), Alun-Wyn Jones (Wales), Olly Robinson (England), Sione Vailanu (Tonga), Rey Lee-Lo (Samoa) and Damien Hoyland (Scotland) in the squad.
The game forms part of Swansea RFC’s 150th season celebrations with the game at St Helen’s kicking off at 6.30pm.
The Barbarians have been visitors to St Helen’s since 1901, when they first played Swansea as part of their Easter tour in Wales. Their annual visits were a much anticipated event in the diaries of rugby supporters. They have not graced St Helen’s since 1994, but now fans can be part of a great evening’s rugby as they will face a Swansea select team.
