Dragons RFC back row Aaron Wainwright grabbed a second half try as Welsh fans gave three legends the perfect farewell with Wales beating the Barbarians 49-26 in a try fest under the roof of the Principality Stadium.
Leigh Halfpenny gave a faultless performance with his boot before departing to a rousing reception in the 65th minute while Alun Wyn Jones and Justin Tipuric wore the famous black and white hoops of the Baa-Baas in their international swansongs..
By the time Halfpenny departed the scene, he hadn’t missed a shot at goal all game to savour every last drop of emotion pouring from his faithful fans when he left the pitch for the last time in a Wales jersey.
Wales scored three tries in the first half and followed up with four more in the second to give Halfpenny the perfect send-off while Jones got the loudest cheers of the game when he stretched out to score the Barbarians third try of the game in the 50th minute in a man of the match performance.
