Youngsters from five clubs enjoyed Derby Day at the home of the Dragons after taking part in a special BT Festival for Under-9s.
BT is a proud supporter of the inspiring and engaging activities being delivered across the region by the Dragons RFC community team.
And that was highlighted on Sunday when teams from Talywain RFC, Abertillery RFC, Caldicot RFC, Blaenavon RFC, Beaufort RFC took part in pre-match activities.
Supporters enjoyed watching games on the KLA Community training pitch during the morning before all the players were rewarded for their efforts with a special medal.
Thank you to BT for supporting the Under-9s Festival
This season BT is celebrating ten consecutive years of its partnership with Welsh rugby, supporting all four of Wales' professional teams both on and off the pitch for a decade.
BT has been a sponsor of the Dragons since the 2014/2015 season, and is looking forward to another packed calendar of rugby events in 2023/24.
During the course of the sponsorship, the BT brand has appeared on player kits and at the clubs’ grounds and as well as supporting match days, BT has been involved in community engagement with the teams.
Community events include the highly popular ‘Mini Judgement Day’ rugby festival, sponsored by BT, which has seen around 1,000 young players (aged 7+8) from community clubs in all four regions come together for an inter-club, mini ‘tag’ rugby tournament in the Welsh Capital at the Cardiff Arms Park stadium ahead of Welsh rugby's double header at the Principality Stadium.
