Head Coach Dai Flanagan admits Dragons RFC have a big opportunity to make a big impression in the BKT United Rugby Championship with a trio of big games on home soil.
The Men of Gwent launched the season with victory over Ospreys at Rodney Parade and now face an action-packed October in Newport.
The three-game block starts with Hollywoodbets Sharks on Saturday (kick-off 5.15pm) before Emirates Lions and Benetton Rugby visit in the following weeks.
Flanagan said: “It's an opportunity for us to knock some big teams over - that's the plan.
“We're playing the Sharks, Currie Cup winners, and the Lions, Currie Cup finalists, and then a fully loaded Benetton who now have their internationals back.
“But it's an opportunity for us. We must think about process, process, process, but the outcome will come on the back of that.
“You saw how happy everyone was on the back of the Ospreys win because we stuck to the process until the 83rd minute. We must do that for the next few weeks.
“Going into the game, there is a lot of the same messaging regarding the style and the way we want to play,” he added.
“We're finding an identity and alignment on it, how we want to play and look when you watch us.
“We’re home at Rodney Parade and if we can take those chances we created at Leinster, with the crowd behind us, it'll become a tough place for teams to come.”
Reflecting on the Leinster clash last weekend, Flanagan added: “We had 60 minutes of good hard graft and three opportunities we didn't take in the Aviva Stadium.
“I have been there many times with good Scarlets teams and if you don't take chances, and we didn't take them, it costs you.
“They showed their class towards the end of the game, making good decisions, keeping hold of the ball for long periods, and they pulled away eventually.
"We need to take the positives from the game and look to get better this weekend. We know what we face and we have got to relish that challenge."
