Inspired by our past… we look to the future…
Your new-look Dragons RFC away kit for the 2024/25 season is officially unveiled – as we pay tribute to the Monmouthshire and Gwent invitational teams of old!
Our new away kit is inspired by those famous teams kitted out in Monmouthshire Blue who played touring sides such as Australia and New Zealand, with many fixtures played at Rodney Parade.
The Men of Gwent will wear the vibrant new away kit - designed by Official Kit Partners VX3 - for the first time this Sunday when we face Emirates Lions in the BKT United Rugby Championship at Rodney Parade (kick-off 2.30pm).
The new alternate jersey is a modern version of the jerseys of the past as it evolves the Monmouthshire blue kit of old. It also features the Monmouthshire badge on the back of the jersey. The jersey is complimented for by white shorts and white socks with blue trim.
Our thanks to our partners Dragon Signs, Bisley, Coleg Gwent, IAC, SFi, BMS and iStadia, Centreprise, Gerwyn Price, Valley Water, GP Shipping & GPL Customs, Carlsberg, David Spear, GD Environmental, GOS Engineering, Ted Hopkins Machinery and VX3 who all feature on the new away kit.
Young stars Will Reed, Che Hope, George Young and the Rosser brothers Jared and Ewan all recently took part in official kit pictures at Ebbw Vale – the venue for many Monmouthshire games in the past. All the players have strong links to the Monmouthshire teams of the past with their fathers having represented the invitational side.
Paul Turner and Ian Wilkinson from Dragons RFC also feature in the new video as they discuss their connections to the invitational side and give their thoughts on the new playing kit.
You can buy online NOW by CLICKING HERE - It will also be on sale from the Club Shop at Rodney Parade and Friars Walk from Friday morning so fans can get kitted out before this weekend.
