Dragons RFC will pay tribute to fan Ray Gleed during our BKT United Rugby Championship fixture against Emirates Lions at Rodney Parade on Sunday (kick-off 2.30pm).
Ray, a 77-year-old lifelong Season Member, passed away following a medical emergency outside Rodney Parade prior to Saturday’s fixture with Hollywoodbets Sharks.
Following consultation with his family, the club is inviting fans to join in a minute’s applause on the 17th minute during the Lions fixture – it would have been Ray’s birthday on October 17.
Supporters who wish to leave floral tributes are invited to place them by Gate 3 at Rodney Parade.
The thoughts of us all at Dragons RFC remain with Ray’s family and friends at this sad time.
