Forwards Coach Sam Hobbs believes new openside signing Thomas Young will bring another level of competition to the back row at Dragons RFC.
The Wales international back row forward will move to the Men of Gwent this summer on a long-term deal from Cardiff Rugby.
Four-times capped Young, 32, arrives with huge pedigree following playing spells in the English Premiership with Wasps and Gloucester.
And Hobbs is excited to get working with the latest recruit this coming summer.
Young follows Dillon Lewis and Harry Beddall in being confirmed as new signings ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Hobbs said: “Thomas is a player who has operated at the very highest level, featuring in big European games during his time in England and Premiership finals, so he will bring that level of experience to us.
“He has performed well this season for Cardiff, adding X-factor to their attack and also producing some crucial turnovers in defence at pivotal times. His impact on games is at a consistently high level.
“Thomas is undoubtedly a high quality openside, an out and out seven, who will bring leadership, act as a mentor to our young opensides and add another level of competition to the back row we are building here at Dragons.”
