Dragons RFC are delighted to announce leading private healthcare provider, St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport, as an official sponsor for the 2025/26 season.
The new agreement will see the hospital’s brand displayed prominently on LEDs around Rodney Parade – unveiled for the first time during the friendly against Scarlets on Saturday, September 13 - bringing St Joseph’s Hospital to the heart of the Newport sporting community.
The award-winning private hospital has a long history of supporting athletes and sports enthusiasts, providing diagnostic scans in state-of-the-art suites for players of local and national teams, including the Wales national side, alongside physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services.
Dragons RFC’s ambitions for continuous development and dedication to excellence - while supporting local community initiatives - aligns with St Joseph’s Hospital’s strategic goals to implement the latest healthcare innovations and develop as a patient-first organisation serving Newport and the surrounding regions.
Craig Lewis, Business Development Manager at Dragons RFC, said: “We are delighted to welcome St Joseph’s Hospital as an official sponsor ahead of the new season.
“Our commercial partnerships play a vital role in allowing us to thrive, and we are proud to display a local business’ name at our home matches.
“We hope this is the start of a long and successful partnership with one of Wales’ leading private hospitals.”
Stuart Hammond, CEO of St Joseph’s Hospital, said: “As a proudly Newport-based business, we are thrilled to sponsor our local team. “Like St Joseph’s Hospital, Dragons RFC strives to achieve excellence in their field.
“We hope this sponsorship demonstrates our support for the team, our encouragement of their journey, and highlights all we can offer for players and their families and supporters: access to quality, private healthcare without the wait.”
