Ebbw Vale bagged maximum points for the seventh time in nine matches already in Super Rygbi Cymru as they stormed to a 45-24 victory over Aberavon.
The Steelmen led 26-12 at the break and, despite being reduced to 13 men with skipper Joe Franchi and scrum-half Gruff Tough sin-binned just before the hour mark, held off a second half Aberavon fightback.
It secured an eighth win from nine games for Ebbw – who have collected 48 points from a possible 54 on offer to them so far this season.
The only sides to deny them full bonus points have been RGC, who did so with a last-minute try in a 38-26 Ebbw win, and Newport – the only side to defeat Ebbw so far and in a game where Ebbw took just a losing bonus point from a 12-5 defeat.
Meanwhile, Newport RFC suffered a late 22-19 defeat to Llandovery - who kept the heat on SRC leaders Ebbw Vale by edging out the champions at Church Bank.
The second-placed Drovers ended the Black and Ambers' winning streak at four games to close to within five points of the Steelmen, who have a game in hand.
Newport led 19-3 at the break thanks to a double by hooker Wade Langley and wing Noah Morgan's finish on the stroke of half-time.
However, Drovers scored 19 unanswered points in the second half to take the spoils after tries by blind-side flanker Evan Sheldon, open-side flanker Kian Abraham and replacement prop Josh Morse.
Swansea's Friday night fixture against Pontypool at Dunvant was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
