Dragons RFC hooker Oli Burrows will have an enforced spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery.
Burrows made his Dragons debut against Leinster and has now made four appearances since last summer’s switch from Exeter to Rodney Parade with his last appearance coming off the bench in the win at Newcastle.
Burrows has now undergone surgery on his right shoulder which will rule him out for the remainder of the season.
Following a positive operation, Burrows will now begin his rehabilitation and recovery programme with the full support of the medical and S&C team at Dragons RFC.
Forwards Coach Sam Hobbs said: “It was unfortunate for Oli to pick up this injury at the beginning of his Dragons career.”
“We will now be working hard with Oli and our medical team to ensure he makes a full recovery and comes back even stronger ahead of the start of next season.”
