We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Academy Medic to support the prevention and management of injuries sustained by Academy and Age Grade players.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with our coaching and medical team to provide high-quality pitchside and injury management care throughout the season. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, which may vary depending on the time of year and fixture schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pitch side first aid and acute injury management during Academy and/or Age Grade training and matches.
- Support the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of Academy and/or Age Grade players.
- Liaise with coaches and other medical staff to ensure effective injury prevention and player care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in line with Welsh Rugby Union and Dragons RFC standards.
- Assist in the implementation of injury prevention and rehab strategies.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree-qualified in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or Sports Rehabilitation.
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in a sporting or clinical environment.
- Valid first aid qualification appropriate for a sporting environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working within an academy or youth sport setting.
- Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures in sport.
- Hold PHICIS Level 2 qualification.
