Filo Tiatia has praised the work ethic and on-going development of young loosehead Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths.
The 21-year-old played the full 80 minutes of the 34-30 defeat to Ulster in the BKT United Rugby Championship at Rodney Parade last Saturday evening.
That followed a 78-minute effort in the loss at Zebre Parma at the end of February.
Former Wales Under-20s ace Kelleher-Griffiths – who made his debut at the Scarlets on New Year’s Day – has also had appearances off the bench against Section Paloise, Emirates Lions and Munster.
And Tiatia has been pleased with the way the prop, who has also shone in Super Rygbi Cymru with Pontypool, has gone about his work.
“He has exceeded all expectations and has done really well for a young loosehead prop at this level, although Edinburgh on Friday is a different beast," said Head Coach Tiatia.
“DKG is still learning his craft, but he is very coachable and wants to get better every day, which is a big plus.
“He is working really hard in the gym and around his functional movement for scrummaging with little things for him to keep working on.”
