Wales international Seb Davies and fly half Jac Lloyd are set for debuts as Dragons RFC face Glasgow Warriors in the BKT United Rugby Championship at Scotstoun Stadium on Saturday evening (kick-off 5.30pm).
Head Coach Filo Tiatia makes a number of changes from the side that drew with Hollywoodbets Sharks last time out at Rodney Parade.
Davies combines with Levi Douglas – who makes his first club start - in the second row while Mackenzie Martin and captain Harrison Keddie join Ryan Woodman in the back row.
A new-look front row sees Rodrigo Martinez, Oli Burrows and Dillon Lewis pack down.
Lloyd is paired with Che Hope at half back while Harri Ackeman comes into midfield to play alongside Aneurin Owen.
The back three sees a return for David Richards – who plays his first game for the club since November 2022 – and Huw Anderson, alongside Tongan ace Fine Inisi.
Scrum half Niall Armstrong could make his debut from the bench while James Benjamin, Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths and Dillon Lewis are recalled.
“Glasgow are a very good side,” said Defence Coach Dale MacLeod. “They are a team with a lot of plays, a good kicking game and they play edges well. We’ve got to make sure we’re in the game at the 70-minute mark.
“We go with belief. There is no point being in the competition if we don’t think we can do a job. We go up there to put in a performance.
“We’re confident that we can take another step forward again."
On selection, MacLeod added: “We’ve got to make sure that we are managing our group, we are creating competition, so players get an opportunity.
“With short turnarounds, if you keep flogging the same players, they are going to break on you. We’ve got to back our depth, and we’re excited to see this team perform."
