Your new-look Dragons RFC alternate kit for the 2025/26 season is officially unveiled – with our stars heading to the iconic Caerphilly Castle for the big launch!
The colour of our new alternate kit again takes inspiration from the Monmouthshire and Gwent invitational teams of old, with a navy design complimented by Monmouthshire Blue trim and gold features. The new jersey also proudly features the Monmouthshire badge on the front.
This season we also pay tribute to the famous castles of Gwent and mightiest medieval castle in Wales – Caerphilly Castle, just a short trip from our Ystad Mynach training base.
Castle turrets are incorporated into the navy backdrop of the kit and we visited our friends at Caerphilly Castle for the official launch as Aaron Wainwright, Dillon Lewis and Levi Douglas got kitted up.
Wales' biggest castle has recently reopened after two years of renovations aimed at "reconnecting communities with their heritage". The £8m worth of upgrades to Caerphilly Castle include a reconstruction of the Great Hall to how it appeared in its "medieval heyday", as well as new digital exhibits and accessibility improvements. The Men of Gwent will wear the vibrant new alternate kit - designed by Official Kit Partners VX3 - for the first time when we face Ulster Rugby in the BKT United Rugby Championship at the Affidea Stadium on Friday, September 26 (kick-off 8.05pm).
