Week two of the SRC is already underway with a stellar game at the Cardiff Arms Park between Cardiff and Carmarthen on Thursday night.
Saturday sees all three Gwent sides in action as Newport and Ebbw Vale travel West to Aberavon and Bridgend respectively, while Pontypool host RGC.
Last weekend saw a maximum six-point win for Ebbw at home to Aberavon, Pooler defeating Swansea at Pontypool Park, while Newport clinched a late losing bonus-point at home to Llandovery.
All three play again on Saturday with 2:30pm kick-off times.
Reigning champions Newport have made seven changes to their starting XV this weekend with Dragons back Jac Lloyd starting at 12 along with Academy prop Jordan Morris and backrower Cerrig Smith plus backs coach Matt O’Brien at fly-half.
There are also starting spots for Wade Langley, Garin Harris and Kobi Rees.
Shield holders Ebbw Vale successfully defended their title last weekend and have made just two changes to their XV for the trip to Bridgend.
Joe Franchi is replaced by Ieuan Morris at hooker while Dylan Edwards will debut at fullback.
There are also places for Dragons Academy players Owen Conquer at eight and scrum-half Carter Pritchard is set for his first Steelers appearance from the bench.
Pontypool meanwhile have the joys of home comforts once more and will look to back up last week’s win with another victory against RGC who scored five tries in defeat at home to Cardiff last week.
Head coach Tom Hancock has made eight changes to his Pontypool side as Dragons pair Morgan Lloyd and George Tuckley both start at scrum-half and loosehead prop respectively, while there is also a place for Ryan Jones on the bench.
Elsewhere, Kelvyn Williams, Ieuan Jones, Liam Antrobus, Callum Davies, Louis Rees and recent Dragons Academy member Walker Price all start.
