Semi-finals confirmed in BUCS Super Rugby

The final four in each competition are confirmed! The Men’s BUCS Super Rugby Milk Championship quarter finals kicked off last week as the race to Rodney Parade heats up.

In the first tie of the quarter-finals, high-flying Bath showed their class in a 48-30 victory over Cardiff University, setting up a home semi-final tie.

Bath’s opponents in the last four, was decided between Nottingham and Durham, with the away side picking up a shock 21-35 win on the road.

Second place finished Loughborough had a close three-point game with Hartpury as they squeezed through to with a 28-25 win to set up a home tie.

The closest quarter final was between Exeter and Cardiff Met, the game ended up in favour of the home side by just two points, finishing 27-25. Loughborough now await Exeter in the semi-final. All games will be played April 8.

The women’s side of the draw will also be taking next week with Hartpury - who had a bye in the quarter finals thanks to finishing top of the seven team league - are back in action in a home clash against Brunel, after they beat Cardiff Met.

Second place Loughborough also have a home tie after thrashing Cardiff University 82-0. Their opponents in the last four, Exeter, secured a 24-14 victory over Edinburgh.

Men’s fixtures (semi-finals to be played 08/04):

  • Bath vs Durham
  • Loughborough vs Exeter

Women’s fixtures (semi-finals to be played 08/04):

  • Hartpury vs Brunel
  • Loughborough vs Exeter
