Dragons RFC players and staff have enjoyed two brilliant days on the road within Gwent running sessions in Blaenavon RFC and Nantyglo RFC.
Following on from the success last summer of our sessions in Abertillery, Caerphilly, Caldicot and Pontypool Utd, the Men of Gwent returned on the road to Blaenavon on Monday and Nantyglo on Tuesday putting on sessions for hundreds of children.
Our Dragons Community team ran tackling, tag, passing and evasion drills before being joined by our entire senior squad who joined in in games before signing autographs and taking photos with the next generation of Gwent talent.
Children from across the valleys attended the roadshow days, including Blaenavon, Nantyglo, Penallta, Abertillery, Rhymney RFC and Newbridge rugby clubs among others, learning new skills and developing old ones.
This is the beginning of an exciting fortnight for Dragons as we celebrate the clubs throughout our community ahead of our BKT United Rugby Championship 'Origin Round' clash against Benetton Rugby on Saturday, February 28.
We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to hold similar events in the near future so keep your eyes peeled!
