Boss: Dragons aim to finish block strong

21/01/2026

Head Coach Filo Tiatia wants Dragons to finish the current block of ten games on the front foot as they prepare to travel to Munster Rugby on Friday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Men of Gwent face a trip to Cork and Virgin Media Park in Round 10 of the BKT United Rugby Championship this week before concluded this block with a trip to Ospreys next Saturday.

Dragons have won four of the last six games in a block of fixtures that started back in late November at home to Leinster.

“We are happy with how we are tracking. It has been a long block and now we want to finish well away at Munster and Ospreys,” said Tiatia.

“We’re happy with how the players are performing. They’re working hard with the coaching team. Now we’ve got to keep shifting forward.

“The transformation around leadership, from the leadership group, has been a positive. Demanding more from each other and challenging each other, getting better at how we grow every day.

“Our away form is an area of growth, taking our game and the mentality we have at home on the road when we go to grounds that are not home. How we perform and stay in moments and dominate.

“We have a lot of young guys that are still learning their craft, but there is an opportunity to keep growing.”

Meanwhile, Tiatia hopes for some positive injury news for the final block of the season.

“Elliot Dee and James Benjamin are hopefully back for Benetton. The same goes for Dillon Lewis,” he stated.

“We also have players back available this week, who have helped shape the week and have trained really well.”
