Dragons to sign Tonga ace Tuitavuki

16/03/2026

Coming soon! Dragons RFC are pleased to officially confirm the signing of Tonga international wing Anzelo Tuitavuki.

The powerful and explosive back will make the move to the Men of Gwent this summer from Colomiers Rugby in France.

Tuitavuki – who stands 6ft and weighs 98kg – has grabbed 14 tries in Pro D2 to standout as one of the most potent finishers in the league over the last two seasons.

The 27-year-old previously played for Moana Pasifika in Super Rugby Pacific and Hawke's Bay in New Zealand's National Provincial Championship.

Renowned for his impressive footwork and acceleration, Tuitavuki has also won nine caps for Tonga, featuring in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Senior Coach Dale MacLeod, who previously worked with Tuitavuki at Hawke’s Bay and Tonga, said: “Anzelo is a physical player on both sides of the ball who possesses good footwork and quick turn of speed.

“He also possesses a big left boot and is a good aerial option in attack and defence."

Tuitavuki said: “I’m incredibly proud and grateful for the opportunity to join Dragons, a club with a proud history and passionate supporters.

“After speaking with Filo (Tiatia), Dale (MacLeod), and Jonathan (Westwood), it was clear there is a strong vision and real ambition for the future.

“The opportunity to test myself alongside and against some of the best players in the game is exactly what drives me.

“I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, pulling on the Dragons jersey for the first time and giving everything to support my teammates every time I take to the field.

“The URC is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, so I’m excited for the challenge ahead.”
