Dragons RFC can confirm scrum half Che Hope will miss the rest of this season after undergoing surgery.
Hope – who has made 26 appearances for the Men of Gwent – suffered a hamstring injury during the BKT United Rugby Championship fixture with Benetton Rugby at Rodney Parade last month.
The 23-year-old, who recently signed new terms with the club, successfully underwent surgery over the weekend and will now be ruled out for an extended period.
Paul Cremin, Head of Medical Services at Dragons RFC, said: “Che had surgery on the injury over the weekend, and the surgeon is pleased with the outcome.
“Che now commences his recovery and rehabilitation period ahead of a return to action next season.”
Dragons RFC would like to thank supporters for messages of support for Che that will all be passed onto him.
