Newport and Pontypool face off in the first Gwent derby of the season on Saturday.
The Black and Ambers will have the chance to regain top spot following 14-man Ebbw Vale’s come-from-behind win at Llandovery on Thursday night.
With six Dragons players included within the starting lineups across both sides it promises to be an exciting prospect.
Hosts Pontypool include hooker Sam Scarfe in their starting XV, while Evan Lloyd switches to fullback and captain Scott Matthews moves to flanker to accommodate Morgan Allen.
Pooler’s bench waits to be confirmed and Matthews’ side have the chance to close the gap to Llandovery and the top half of the table.
Meanwhile, Newport include Dragons quintet Cerrig Smith (4), Will Ford (10), Noah Morgan (11), Brogan Leary (13) and Sam Morgan.
Elsewhere on Thursday night, Ebbw Vale trailed 8-0 early on at Llandovery and then saw second row Curtis Gregory sent off with five minutes remaining in the first half.
The Drovers scored early in the second half but despite being reduced to 13 men with a yellow card they struck back through Ieuan Morris on the back of a driving maul and then Cam Davies.
The Steelmen took the lead through Ryan Jenkinsbefore two more tries from Morris who followed last week’s four-try display with a hattrick.
Ebbw now go top, three points clear of Newport, at the top of the table having played a game more.
