Newport Gwent Dragons welcomed back skipper Kevin Morgan for the trip to Borders and he gave a man of the match performance as The Dragons won 20-8.
Morgan scored a try in the second half while prop Adam Black crossed in the opening quarter of the game. Fly half Ceri Sweeney converted both tries and also landed two points to give The Dragons something they didn't manage last season, two wins on the road in the league.
The Dragons now turn their attentions away from Magners League action as they go into the EDF Energy Cup competition and a trip to Welford Road awaits.
