Dragons Vote Joe Players' Player of the Year
Dragons Joe Bearman was presented with the esteemed Players' Player award by the Skipper, Colin Charvis, at the Newport Gwent Dragons Annual Presentation Evening in Newport’s Celtic Manor, which marks the end of the rugby season.
The 29-year-old Cornish back row forward received huge support and respect from his Dragons teammates, clinching the award by a comfortable margin.
Bearman’s honours this season have also included Magners Player of the Month in January and the South Wales Argus readers' Player of the Year also this month. He said:
"I'd like to thank all who have supported me this year. The glassware will have a special place on my mantlepiece at home."
"I've been mostly injury free this season (apart from a recent back injury) which is the key and I've been able to play a lot of games.“For now, I’ll enjoy a comfortable break with my family and friends throughout June and I’ll be back as determined as ever next season to make successful one for myself, the Dragons and the fans."
