Turner comments on handing Marc Stcherbina the captaincy for tomorrow's clash with Newcastle Falcons at Rodney Parade.
"Marc has impressed me over the years and gives sides direction. Whether it has been with Biarritz, Northampton or Cardiff Blues he has always done the same type of job," said Paul.
"He is an intelligent Aussie and it was always intention for his to play some sort of leadership role here and it comes against Newcastle. He is part of the senior players committee and it was just a natural step."
