Newport will be looking to make it three in a row at the fourth annual Men of Gwent sevens tournament on Saturday 7 August.
This year sees teams from Bedwas, Blackwood, Caerphilly, Cross Keys, Dragons Academy, Newbridge, Newport RFC, NHSOB, Pill Harriers, Pontypool, Tredegar, and the Welsh Wizards.
The Dragons senior squad will be at the Parade to rub shoulders with rugby fans from the region during the day.
The tournament will kick off at midday with 12 teams competing from across the region, including sides from our four Premiership clubs and the Dragons academy.
In addition to the trophy, there is prize money of £1250 for the winners and £650 for the runners up.
And for those who just fancy bringing the kids out for the afternoon, the Rodney Hall and Clubhouse will be open for parents to relax whilst kids can enjoy the range of entertainment provided. There will be activities for kids of all ages on the training field including meeting the Dragons’ trusty mascot Rodney and the Dragons squad.
Ground entry adult tickets are £5, with under 16s at just £1
