Canada fullback Matt Evans will be giving a boost to the Men of Gwent back line next season as he joins the team at Rodney Parade on a 1 year contract.
The international back, who is also at ease in the number 10 shirt will be coming to the region after finishing his duties with Canada in the Churchill Cup.
“Matt is an exciting young player and he will be a valued member of our squad,” said Dragons Rugby Manager Robert Beale.
“We looked at him on the recommendation of both Alan Lewis of Hartpury College and Geraint John currently involved in the Canada setup and have been impressed by his talent.
“We are very proud of the reputation we are building for giving opportunities to young players and Matt will fit in very well with the style of rugby we are looking to continue at the Dragons.”
