Just before half time Setaro retained the lead for Sir Gar with a well taken 40m penalty goal giving the Steelers a 13-12 half time lead.It was Coleg Sir Gar who started the second half the strongest with charging runs from the front five giving the quality ball that the back line thrive off. As a result strong running centre Dylan Morgans showed great strength and pace and was able to power his way through the strong Gwent defence to score in the corner.
Another accurate kick from Setaro gave Sir Gar an eight point cushion. It was now time for Sir Gar to show their steel in defence and this is where man of the match Owain Powell excelled with the pocket rocket open side putting big hit after big hit in, stopping any Gwent attacks gain momentum. With only minutes to go Gwent finally broke through the resolute Sir Gar defence scoring a well worked try under the posts, but it was to be in vain as the Steelers held on to win 20 - 19.
