Four Cross Keys players have been selected for Sunday’s opening Six Nations clash against England at Pandy Park, Cross Keys (KO 2.30pm).
Amy Day, Rhian Bowden and Jamie Kift have all been named in Kris de Scossa’s starting lineup in his first game as Wales head coach, whilst fly half Anwen Thomas will be looking to start off the bench.
Tighthead prop Catrin Edwards will lead Wales for the first time with flanker Jamie Kift now the most experienced player in the side. She will be earning her 80th cap on Sunday.
De Scossa said he is eagerly looking forward to Sunday’s game against England. “They’ve selected a strong squad and selected a large contingent from the side which played in last year’s World Cup final,” he said.
“It will be a good test to see where we are. I’m really looking forward to taking England on at Cross Keys where I’m sure we’ll be welcomed with open arms,” he added.
