Newport Gwent Dragons are appealing the LV= Cup Organising Committee’s decision regarding the postponed pool match against Saracens on Friday night.
Dragons interim Chief Executive Chris Brown said “We are obviously disappointed with this decision and plan to appeal the ruling. We are still hopeful that this game can be re-scheduled.”
The fixture was postponed last Friday when the Rodney Parade pitch froze in overnight temperatures of -8°C despite having pitch covers over the pitch and double covers in vulnerable areas.
Tickets for the match remain valid for any re-arranged fixture and until the appeal has been heard, there will be no further comment from the region.
