Following the success of last year’s internship, the Dragons are delighted to confirm that there will be a position for an 1 or 2 interns available within the Strength and Conditioning department for the 2013/14 season
This will run for the entire length of the season, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to experience life in a professional sporting environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION & PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Position 1: Monitoring + S & C Internship –
The ability to enhance our current standards of monitoring by Collecting, analyzing and reporting on daily well-being, C.M.J, bodyweight, Urine, GPS and HR analysis and any other monitoring requirements as stipulated by head of S & C and Medical. Collating rugby squad data, this is in conjunction with the Welsh Rugby Union system.
Opportunity for significant hands on experience for all aspects of S & C both gym and field based, including program design.
Interaction with senior staff, this includes opportunities for match day experience and possible travel. Hands on experience with Academy conditioning protocols and monitoring where appropriate.
It is essential that the successful applicant be highly motivated and able to bring something to the environment.
Position 2: S & C Internship –
The ability to instruct Olympic and Strength training movements or a passion to learn, ideally the successful applicant will have a weight training history directed at a specific sporting goal.
Collating rugby squad data.
Opportunity for hands on experience for all aspects of S & C both gym and field based, including program design.
Interaction with senior staff, this includes opportunities for match day experience and possible travel. Interaction and experience with Academy conditioning protocols and monitoring where appropriate.
