This is an exciting new role which will initially report into the Chief Executive Officer. The club is looking for an experienced marketing, media and PR professional who can devise, drive and implement long and short term brand, marketing and PR programmes, as well as managing a team of paid and voluntary marketing, media and PR staff.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a small team, or demonstrate that they are ready for such a role, and will be a confident, dynamic and experienced marketing and PR professional who can provide strategic communications advice, as well as overseeing and helping implement detailed marketing, PR and digital media programmes. The Marketing and Media Manager will work closely with colleagues within the club, but also with outside partners and marketing agencies, to deliver a successful brand and marketing presence for the Newport Gwent Dragons, and indeed Rodney Parade as a commercial venue. Excellent interpersonal as well as marketing and PR skills are therefore required.
The role is pivotal to the future success of the club. The Marketing & Media Manager will work with other colleagues to help maximise non match-day revenue, build strong relationships with the fan base and other strong partnerships to build the brand for the future.
