The 27-year-old will become the third member of the current Dragons squad to reach this fantastic achievement.
Commenting on the historic accomplishment, Hughes said: “It means a lot to me. When I left the Dragons a few seasons back I was really gutted that I didn’t get to this milestone, after hitting my 50th in my second season here. So when I had the opportunity to come back it was something that I wanted to reach and now I am absolutely chuffed!
“I am still only 27 so I am looking to catch up with Lewis (Evans, who recently hit 150 starts) as I definitely want to push on and achieve more.”
Hughes has been named in the starting XV as Dragons Head Coach, Kingsley Jones makes three personnel changes and two positional changes to the team that were narrowly defeated by Ulster Rugby two weeks ago at Rodney Parade.
There is just one change in the backs as wing Pat Howard returns to the starting line-up to replace Tom Prydie, who moves to the bench for this match.
