Team coaches Stefan Prosser and Lee Perry have been working so hard with the squad that has grown in numbers this season, going from struggling to get seven players for a game to now putting a team out with replacements every week.
Under 10s rugby is a big step up from under-nines, with a contested ruck and more than one in a tackle.
It is a huge physical demand on the players so to have two or three girls playing mixed rugby would be fantastic –to have nine girls in the New Tredegar RFC Under-10s currently is brilliant.
The team friendship is great to see and the squad are improving every week they are together.
The team train every Wednesday evening between 6pm and 7pm on New Tredegar's field behind New Tredegar Leisure Centre. Visit www.newtredegarrfc.com for more information.
