Bring Your Fire Film Nominated for Award

Dragons ‘Bring Your Fire’ film has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award that celebrates brand storytelling.

The film has been nominated in the Sport category at the Brand Film Festival London 2019 awards - produced by PR Week & Campaign - that will take place in the English capital on 1st May, celebrating the agencies, brands, filmmakers and storytellers behind the films.

The ‘Bring Your Fire’ video formed the centrepiece of the Dragons’ efforts to promote fixtures at Rodney Parade this season, and featured players, including captain Cory Hill, and a number of people from various walks of life around Newport and Gwent – and even cows from head coach Ceri Jones’ farm!

The team behind the promotional ‘short’, Affixxius Films, are one of the UK’s leading video production companies and creative agencies, specialising in producing engaging and brand defining video content.

Martyn Bicknell, Head of Marketing and Communications for Dragons Rugby, said: “We were delighted with the work of Affixxius in producing the Bring Your Fire film and the response we had from supporters when it was first launched, and every time it’s been published since, has always generated real positivity.

“It’s a dedicated and impressive team at Affixxius, who have produced a powerful piece of work on a real budget, so to be shortlisted for this national award, alongside creative treatments for the likes of Manchester City, Puma, Jaguar and ICC Cricket World Cup is testament to their skills and effort.”

With six Royal Television Society Awards amongst other gongs already in their trophy cabinet, Affixxius hope to add another to their collection as their production of ‘Bring Your Fire’ lines up alongside some of the largest players in the industry.

Tim Cabrelli, Senior Partner at Affixxius Films said: “This was a great project to work on, we know how much Rugby means to the area and really wanted to connect the fans with the new identity of their club. We’re incredibly proud of how the film came out and it’s starting to get the recognition it deserves. “

As well as the Awards announcements, the day will include showcases of the shortlisted films, plus presentations from top speakers about the art and craft of brand films.
