Dragons Rugby has today announced that Coleg QS has extended its successful partnership with the region with the signing of a new long-term agreement.
The extension will see Coleq QS continue to feature prominently on the shoulder of the playing jersey at Dragons alongside hospitality at Rodney Parade, in a partnership that will continue until at least the end of the 2022/23 season.
Current first team squad members will also act as sponsored players, including current Wales international Aaron Wainwright and exciting scrum half talent Dan Babos.
Jonathan Westwood, Head of Commercial at Dragons, said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Dean and Caroline within our commercial family. I’d like to take this opportunity to personally thank them and the team at Coleg QS for their ongoing support throughout these unpredictable times.
“We are building something special at Dragons, underpinned by an ambitious and sustainable business model. This growth is enhanced by working alongside local Welsh based corporate partners and attracting successful businesses such as Coleq QS, whose business principles and growth reflect ours.”
Coleg Qs is at the forefront of work-based learning, being a recognised Government funded provider being able to offer fully funded qualifications within the Electrical sector, Motor Vehicle sector and Construction Routes.
They specialise in traineeships and apprenticeships and have had the opportunity to build some invaluable relationships with local companies whilst supporting mature learners and the younger generations.
Caroline Stephens, Quality Manager at Coleq QS, added: “Coleg Qs have been an active sponsor of the Dragons for the past five years.
“The directors come from a rugby background and wanted to show the support for the Dragons by being able to commit to the sponsorship which has grown to Coleg Qs being able to finance a private box.
“This is beneficial for not only the staff and clients that are able to utilise these facilities, but from a business point of view, being able to hopefully capture the interest of any spectators by gaining their recognition and capturing new business potential."
