Dragons Community are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Crownbridge School.
Crownbridge is a special day school which educates children and young people with severe learning difficulties, in the age range of two to 19-years-old across two education sites in Torfaen.
The new partnership with Dragons will see staff from our Community team deliver health and wellbeing sessions to the school base in Cwmbran.
The first sessions have taken this week and Gareth Sullivan, Community Inclusion Officer, is delighted to see the new partnership up and running.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with Crownbridge School and build a long and sustainable partnership. At Dragons Rugby our aim is always to widen the footprint of Inclusion within our #DragonsFamily,” he said.
“The opportunities for the young people supported by Crownbridge are growing in the community and we want to be an integral part of helping their growth into adulthood in a safe, fun and engaging manner.
“This is yet another step forward for the Dragons Community team and we are over the moon to be working alongside our friends at Crownbridge. We cannot wait to welcome you all back to Rodney Parade when it’s safe to do so.”
Bethan Moore, Headteacher at Crownbridge Special School, said: “We are really pleased with our new partnership working with Dragons Community.
“The engagement with Dragons Rugby will help to promote a whole school approach that enables health and wellbeing in all aspects of school life.”
